Dr. Ramon Gil is a Board Certified Neurologist specializing in Parkinsons Disease and other Movement Disorders.  His practice has been based in Port Charlotte Florida since 1989, and serves patients in Southwest Florida as well as Miami, other areas of Florida, and, as founder of the International Medical Care Network, the Dominican Republic.
Personally, Dr. Gil was born in New York City and was raised in the Dominican Republic.  He is married with two children, one a reccent graduate of the Dental School at Emory Universiy and one now attending Emory University in dentistry.  He is active in the community, supporting his church, the Charlotte Symphony, and the Charlotte County Medical Society.
Professionally, Dr. Gil graduated from the School of Medicine at Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic.  He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit in 1986 and his three year residency in Neurology at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia in 1989.
His practice combines patient care with clinical research studies in the same, comfortable environment.  With over 90 studies completed or currently in-progress, volunteering patients or patients of other neurologists may qualify for participation.  These studies require Dr. Gil, as Principal Investigator, to have on staff a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator and other staff to ensure full compliance so critical for the high degree of integrity required in pharmaceutical research.  Such a function is, while not unique, certainly speaks of the commitment and excellence of care that patients can expect to receive from Dr. Gil.
